Nimzo - Grischuk Gambit!

OpeningAnalysis
The strong novelty that has stayed off the radar, until now...

One year ago Chess with Mustreader uploaded an interview with Grischuk. He advocates to switch to Chess960, explains why he hasn't been active, talks about SnoopDog and all the good stuff.

It reminded me of an idea Grischuk used in 2022. Naturally, I checked whether his idea had gained any significant popularity, but it hadn’t. It has been played only ten times in total, with (until today) just a single game in 2025. That surprised me, because Grischuk’s idea is completely sound. And we are talking about a line in the Nimzo, an opening that is played very frequently, so there have been more than enough opportunities for players to pick it up.

Enough talk, let's get into it!
